About Lummi Island Dahlias
Our Story
In 2022, Anne grew four dahlias in pots on her deck. The next year, she grew twelve. She wondered: how could I grow a HUNDRED dahlias? A thousand?? Certainly not on her own. So she asked her friend Beth if she’d experiment with her.
They grew 400 dahlias in 2024, and asked their other friend, Britta, if she wanted to join (and grow even more). Today, they grow over 1500 plants (and over 400 varieties) over three properties on Lummi Island, just an eight-minute ferry ride off the coast of Washington state.
