OUR BOY ALAN. We grow so many of him every year because we want to be surrounded at all times by his inarguably perfect blooms, which shift slightly in tone and color over the season. Five inches, softer yellow than Miss Amara, sometimes nearly rose-colored but usually the most exquisite yellow you could imagine. A perfect dahlia, honestly.
